"IN THE CLOUDS"

Mural created for "Art India Art Walk" in 2019. The mural pays tribute to Little India in Singapore by focusing on two main elements:
- The Flowers
Part of the mural is made up of different type of flowers such as chrysanthemums, jasmine, marigold and orchids. These flowers are usually what is being used in the creation of the garlands that you can find in Little India.
-The textiles
based on my current interest with textiles and its patterns, I have used the sari (considered to be a cultural icon in the Indian subcontinent) as my main source of inspiration and have included them in the mural as well.
The mural is a deconstruction of these two elements, interweaving with one another and existing almost as one.
